Sunlabob

Lao business woman, Souliya Nanthavong and Ugandan entrepreneur, Ramzy Magambo are from two of the poorest nations in the world. They are about to embark on an ambitious south-south business venture. Ramzy will take the business model of the successful Lao energy company, Sunlabob, and apply it to rural areas of East Africa.

Sunlabob is unique in renting solar energy equipment to some of the poorest people in the world, at a profit. With its award-winning mix of social entrepreneurship and rural knowledge, can Sunlabob and Ramzy make a success of the expansion into Africa?

Sunlabob hired Flooded Cellar to provide audio-visual material they could use at conference, in business meetings to show prospective clients or investors, at competition, on their website and so on. We provided Sunlabob with seven stand alone video reports which covered individual aspects of the company and its expansion into Africa. These reports also run back to back to form a one hour documentary. We also cut a news feature which aired on international broadcaster, DW-TV.
